Charming Ideal larger Toni doll
Another "larger, beautiful doll",
19" tall, all hard plastic, strung, P 92 TONI doll, circa 1950. Originally designed by Bernard Lipfert to be sold as an advertising doll promoting the Gillette owned,
Toni home permanent wave solution.
She has lovely big blue, sleep eyes with perfect brush eyelashes, eyeshadow, eyebrows,
rosy cheeks
and beautiful lip color. She has her original thick, brunette wig (no trim) which is in original set with thick curls and a center part. She is signed
head and torso
: Ideal Doll P-92 and Ideal Doll 19 and has a swivel neck as well as joints at her shoulders and hips with flat feet and lovely hand and finger details. She wears a wonderful long, gold lame and black tulle evening gown with puff sleeves and black velvet trim and fitted waist, attached long black tulle, ruffled petticoat and matching black tulle shawl. She is in good clean condition (although her eyebrows are somewhat faded)
with no cracks or damages, no repairs, no stains or make-up marks and
no odors of any kind
as she is from a smoke free home. She'll make a wonderful addition to your Toni family of dolls.
